The Low Down on Mary Logan
Mary Logan is is a writer, performer, activist, and creative through and through. Her short plays Running Out of Time and The Waiting Room were recently produced through the UVA Drama Department and is currently working on a longer one-act play to be written and produced as her undergraduate thesis. She has also adapted and directed an audio drama surrounding Black womanhood and bodily autonomy in She Wrote Plays with WTJU and UVA Drama. As an actor, she was most recently a part of Virginia Theatre Festival's production of Little Shop of Horrors in the Summer of 2024. She loves to create pieces surrounding life experiences and the importance of human connection, whether that be with your friends, your enemies, or even yourself. She is actively pursuing her Bachelor of Arts in Drama and African American and African Studies at the University of Virginia, and plans on pursuing a MFA in Playwriting/Dramatic Writing shortly after she graduates.
